iQ-VIEW is an easy-to-use reading station that has been designed by radiologists for imaging specialists.


The software is available in two editions. The BASIC edition – iQ-VIEW – was developed as a reading station for all physicians, including orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors and internal specialists, while iQ-VIEW PRO is optimized for radiology and nuclear medicine requirements.

Quick and Easy

iQ-VIEW offers quick and intuitive access to tools for improved efficiency. All image processing tools can be selected via buttons, menu items or keyboard shortcuts. A configurable toolbar in the viewer facilitates the easy selection of functionalities needed for processing images. The most relevant buttons can simply be set up in the user’s own default toolbar.

Previous Studies – Automatically

iQ-VIEW PRO provides an automatic previous studies management, which helps the radiologist save time by searching for relevant previous studies of a patient and loading them automatically into the viewer. Of course, the radiologist can define which studies are considered as relevant by setting various filters.

Flexible integration

iQ-VIEW can be integrated into virtually any RIS, EMR or HIS available on today’s market. Specialty readers find interfaces to further image analysis tools, such as 3D post-processing and orthopedic templating.

Versatile uses:

Import – Export – Report

iQ-VIEW can function as an image acquisition station by importing images from scanners, directories and portable media, including options for patient reconciliation offered in the PRO edition. It is further possible to attach scanned documents to an already existing study.

The software can further be used as an exporting station by writing imaging data and reports to CDs, DVDs or memory sticks, by printing on Windows® laser printers or DICOM medical imagers (including true-size DICOM printing), or by emailing any study to a colleague (even in diagnostic quality). iQ-VIEW may be used as a manual radiological media burning station – or alternatively, as a semi-automatic one in connection with iQ-ROBOT.

iQ-VIEW cannot only be used to read studies and reports, but it also comes with a basic reporting module, that enables users to create, edit, store and send their own structured reports.

Certified quality and reliable service

Of course, iQ-VIEW is CE and FDA 510(k) certified and complies with the DICOM and IHE standards. The application is compatible with virtually all medical imaging DICOM devices on the market, regardless of the manufacturer.


iQ-3D is an optional add-on for iQ-VIEW/PRO, which equips the workstation with all common features needed for the 3D image processing of CT and MRI studies.


Multiplanar Reconstructions (MPR) can be performed within seconds on a desktop computer and CT and MRI scans can be reformatted and viewed in any oblique orientation. Intuitive widgets guide the user to exactly position the view plane in order to quickly get the desired view angle and position in space. MPR supports the viewing of trauma, vascular, neurology and oncologic CT and MRI images.


The Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) maps the densest voxels of CT and MRI scans. This feature simplifies reading low and high contrast pathologies and is ideal for displaying vessels and bones.


Surface Shaded Display (SSD) visualizes the surface of high contrast objects like bones or metal in 3D and can be exported e.g. as a rotating sequence.

The epitome of 3D processing is the volume rendering (VRT). Highlight any tumor, bone or vascular structure in color for patients and referring physicians. Various colors, transparency and light setting options for different contexts make the tool easy to use. Unwanted structures can either be individually clipped or cropped from the image.

The addition of DENOISE and SOFTEN filters in MPR and SSD optimize the image impression.


OrthoView™ is a user friendly and an optional add-on module for iQ-VIEW or iQ-VIEW PRO.

The OrthoView™ module offers orthopedic surgeons in a filmless environment a quick and accurate templating solution, integrated into an orthopedic PACS. The whole templating process can be done quickly and easily in four steps – doing the scaling, planning, templating and reporting. The module supports all major joints from more than 30 joint manufactures and over 1,300 international templates.

Service packages offer free uploads from an online library of regularly updated high quality templates. These templates enable pre-operative planning for hips, knees, shoulders, revision prostheses and small joints.

OrthoView™ comes with all essential orthopedic toolsets, such as an enhanced integrated trauma procedure planning tool, a toolset for the evaluation of congenital abnormalities, scoliosis assessment tools and a limb deformity correction module.
